Today marks one week after leaving the hospital. Have I mentioned that the hospital is no place for a sick person. In ICU it was like every hour they were taking vitals and in the regular room it was every three hours. Neither choice gives you much rest.
It has been good to be home and the recovery continues. They told me that I would swell and they were correct beyond even their expectations. So I am now on a diuretic. Any of you familiar with Lasix?? It draws the fluid from the body and creates exercise at the same time because you are constantly running to the bathroom. Ah, but this too shall pass (literally).
It is still a challenge to get a good night sleep but I'm getting closer each night.
Pam is sick. Probably not a surprise since she wore herself out the week I was in the hospital. Fever, coughing like there is no tomorrow and sleeping a lot. Please pray that she gets over this quickly and that I don't get it. Don't think that coughing would be a good thing with the staples still in. On the other had, shooting a staple across the room might be kind of funny.
We are both getting better one day at a time.
Thank you for your prayers!!
God is good all the time!!

Oh Jim, you have such a way with words. You should write a book!
