Draw Me Ever Nearer

Pam told me this morning that it was like sleeping with a small Italian village last night. I told her that was a nasty thing to say about my weight. She said it wasn't about my size but my breath. Yes, I had eaten some garlic bread. Some fairly strong garlic bread, but still....... :O)

Pam was at a conference in Chicago, a few months ago, and heard Keith & Kristyn Getty. You can find their stuff at http://www.gettymusic.com/. One of the songs from their last album is Jesus, Draw Me Ever Nearer, the message is particularly poignant at this time.
Jesus, Draw Me Ever Nearer
Words and Music by Margaret Becker & Keith Getty

May this journey bring a blessing
May I rise on wings of faith
And at the end of my heart's testing
With Your likeness let me wake

Jesus draw me ever nearer
As I labor thro' the storm
You have called me to this passage
And I'll follow tho' I'm worn

Jesus guide me thro' the tempest
Keep my spirit staid and sure
When the midnight meets the morning
Let me love You even more

May this journey be a blessing
May I rise on wings of faith
And at the end of my heart's testing
With Your likeness let me wake

Let the treasures of the trial
Form within me as I go
And at the end of this long passage
Let me leave them at Your throne

Jesus is alive and well. Please keep praying.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. ESV

Margaret Becker is one of my favorite Christian artists (she co-wrote the song you mentioned). All I can say is "A-men!"
