In the last blog I mentioned 'looking forward to some semblance of normal'. Well so much for normal. Sunday afternoon I began to feel a twinge of pain in my lower right back. Does this sound familiar to some of you?? We went to the doctor on Monday just to make sure it wasn't a kidney infection. And then home to take a boat load of pain medicine. At about 2:10 a.m. I gave birth to a bouncing baby kidney stone. Father and stone are doing fine. A little loopy from the Vicodin but glad to be past the pain. I did this about 20 years ago as well. Hopefully I can make it another 20 years until the next one.
Life continues to be an adventure. I don't know who first wrote this but I like it: "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming.......WOW, what a ride!!"
In every adventure, God is good all the time.

1 Corinthians 1:9 God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure , shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.
