And the beat goes on

After a week off of work, with this last surgery, I returned this past Thursday. It made me appreciate being off. But it was good to begin the return to some semblance of normal even though it made me really tired.
I looked back through the blogs and I don't think that I ever said exactly what I am doing. Several years ago the Federal Aviation Administration, in their 'infinate' wisdom, contracted out the training department. So I am now working for the contractor teaching 'kids' how to do Air Traffic Control. (These 'kids' are in their twenties but they seem like kids on so many levels.........) And the contractor is changing. Starting in November we will be working for Chenega, Inc which is sort of a subsidiary of Raytheon. In short, Chenega, Inc. was created by the Chenega Indians of Alaska for ongoing support of the Chenega Indians and their way of life. So retired Air Traffic Controllers in Indiana will be working for the Chenega Indians of Alaska teaching trainees how to control air traffic over IN, OH, KY and West Virginia. America -- -- what a country!!!

The surgery on October 1st went well and the healing continues. The surgery actually went better than anticipated and I really appreciate your prayers. Please continue to pray that the healing will be quick and complete. Would you also pray that this would be it for a while?!?!?!? When the pre-op nurses recognize you, you know that you have been in for surgery way too many times.

Some of you have asked about my friend who broke his leg in Baltimore. Doug is at home mending and doing physical therapy. The PT is a machine that makes his leg bend back and forth for 2 hours at a time. His doctor set a goal of 120 degrees of movement by next Friday. It sounds to me like some medievil form of torture. I'm sure Doug would appreciate your prayers.

God is good all the time!!!

1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. esv
