Continuing the 'not the sharpest knife in the drawer' theme. Our fence had not been trimmed all Spring. Our gas powered trimmer is a manly man trimmer. It has a 4 stroke engine, weighs 18 pounds dry and can take down small trees. It has thrown small stones through truck windows. Yes, my truck. (It probably is overkill but it was the best buy for the money 4 years ago.) It's too heavy for Pam to lug around and I've been, uh, distracted. So yesterday I could not stand to look at the tall grass any longer. I went outside, tuned up the trimmer, loaded it up and headed to the forest, uh, fence. I got about 1/2 way through before having to sit down. And I probably should have stopped but I was either too stubborn or stupid. I gathered up my remaining energy and finished the task. So now the yard looks better and I look worse. I finished the trimming but it cost me today. About the most energetic thing I did today was take a shower and it's been downhill from there. Just no energy at all. Ah, but this too shall pass.......
The question for the day:
What are you being stubborn or stupid about???
Psalm 78:7-8 Oh that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments and that they should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not steadfast, whose spirit was not faithful to God.ESV
God is good all the time!!

Maybe the question would be better asked: "What AREN'T you being stubborn or stupid about?"
You men! :o) You know, my parents always said they had kids so we could take care of them. I'm thinking it's time to rotate the mowing between the boys!
