My week in a nutshell.

I will try to give the Reader's Digest version of this week.
Monday should have been my regular day for Chemo I.V. and pump hook up. But the nurses could not access the port. They took an x-ray and the Oncologist determined that the port had flipped. When the port flips the access side is turned away from the front. Wednesday (the day I should have been unplugged) I was back under the knife getting the port 'fixed'. Only problem was, the port was not flipped and there was really no good reason for the surgery. The Chemo place needs to use a longer needle to access the port because I'm not a small guy. The surgeon made a note on the chart saying, "please use a longer needle". This was a little frustrating but I can see how my size might sneak up on the nurses.
The Oncologist insisted that for consistency of treatment I needed to get to the Chemo place right after the surgery. So I did, I wasn't a happy camper but I did.
Today they took off the pump and I'm dealing with the side-effects. The worst of which is still the glands hurting like mad whenever I try to eat anything.

So since March 12th I've had 2 colonoscopies, one colon resection with cancer removal, two port surgeries and one abscess lancing. I'm done. Don't want no more!!

Oh by the way, Chemo sucks.

But God is good!!
