Today we went to Methodist hospital to meet the surgeon. Our appointment was at 9:30. We went back to the exam room around 11:00. Dr Rouch (pronounced row) was very business-like and explained the options and procedure. This is no walk in the park, but it is the best option. Surgery is scheduled for the 16th. Please pray for Jim's white count, it must come up before surgery. After meeting the doc we went to the lab and did all the pre-registering and blood work. By the time we left Methodist it was 1:30! We grabbed a chicken sandwich and headed home to try and process the day. Jim will not be having anymore chemo until he has healed from the surgery- that feels like a relief! He went up to bed early and I expect he will sleep in . We both need God's rest.
Matt 11:28-30 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." ESV
