Anniversary

Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year!
It is our wedding anniversary, our 31st wedding anniversary.
I'm not sure how the number got so big. It seems like only yesterday we were picking out the burgundy tuxes, pink ruffled shirts and chiffon dresses with pink picture hats for the wedding party to wear. Sorry friends, but it was the style back then.

I cannot now nor have I ever been good at choosing anniversary gifts. So this year I just want to tell you all about Jim and you will understand why buying him a gift never seems good enough or big enough for such an occasion.

I have always felt that Jim was the BEST earthly gift that God had ever brought to me. In thirty one years there has never been a time when I did not love him. He has always been a godly man, a good dad and a wonderful leader in our home. I cannot imagine what I would be like without him. He has encouraged and supported me through every goofy stage of life....he has helped me paint, sew, dance, diet, and cook. He has invested enough money in craft classes and cookbooks to fund a small nation! He is faithful in all his doings and I love him more each day! He has loved me well! He has never given me any reason to distrust him. He is a man of God, and his life reflects his Savior. We have laughed together and celebrated the blessings of children and will celebrate the joy of grandchildren. He has held my hand and shared the hard times of losing our parents to both death and disease. He was my nurse and encourager when I had cancer. He is at the cancer center today getting his chemo and making the nurses laugh! He is brave and courageous. He is my best friend and I love him. I thank God for him. He is a gift.

When you see him, bless God.
Pam

What a tremendous gift and legacy you have given your children and grandchildren. Because of your commitment to one another, generations to come will hear of your faithfulness. Here's to many more anniversaries!
