This has been quite an interesting journey for the last month and 1/2.
(By the way, I'm on Vicodin so I'm not responsible for whatever I type.:O)
The latest pain is a bit delicate. Gentleman don't speak of pains in these places. But I'm on Vicodin so here goes::::: :: I'll give you the RD version. Since the surgery of March 18th it has been more and more difficult for me to sit for any length of time. Initially I would just get really uncomfortable so I would move to a different chair or position. The last few days I have been in constant pain, sitting or not. Last night the pain woke me up and kept me up most of the night.
Today we saw our family doctor who looked 'all the way up'. Uh, all the way up where the sun don't shine. (How was that for delicate??) She said that I had manufactured a fairly sizable abscess. She called the surgeon, he fit me into his schedule and we drove downtown for another visit with Dr. Keenan Berghoff. He gave me a fairly painful shot for pain and then played 'Sir Lance Alot' on said abscess. And now you know why I am on Vicodin.
This was the third procedure in less than a month that Dr. Berghoff has had to perform on me. And in spite of the fact that we have paid the better part of one of his kids college bill, I would still recommend him to anyone in need of a surgeon. He is very personable and, from what I have seen, very skilled.
This latest adventure reminded me once again of Isaiah 58:8 Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, in spite of your situation or mine God is good all the time!!!

Hey J.D.
Interesting how you used Isaiah's words "REAR GUARD"!
Sorry I didn't get a chance to see you at work the other day, I looked everywhere for you, but you know what they say, "Truck can't find his own back-side with both hands". <:&
Anyway, I'm glad you can find some humor in what happens!
"All things work for the good", just remember that.
You and Pam will be in our prayers and you know you can call me anytime if you just want to talk.
I don't know what all you are experiencing, BUTT, I know a little how you are feeling. Just know that
time does make things better. As the Rev. James Cleveland said, "I've had my share of lifes ups and downs, but the downs have been few.
I guess you could say I've been blessed, cause there's never been a time in my life when God didn't see me thru". (Or was that Gladys Knight & the Pips)?
Hang in there. I'm here if you need anything!
Job 23:10 "But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold"
Take care.
