This year's Christmas Letter

Christmas 2010
Merry Christmas Family & Friends,
Pam & I were going to skip the Christmas cards and obligatory ‘Christmas’ letter this year but our cancer news has been too good not to update everyone who prayed. So I’ll get to that first. Chemo ended on January 26th and all following updates looked good. But the really good news came in November when the blood tests and CT scan were all clean. NO CANCER!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!!! All of you who took the time to pray – THANK-YOU!!
June brought good news when Anna married Donny Connelly. They had a really nice wedding at Radiant Christian Life Church followed by a picturesque reception in Forest Park. Donny has been a wonderful addition to the family. (In fact, we feel like our kids have all been blessed with wonderful mates.) Donny & Anna went to the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon. They had a memorable time followed by a few weeks that they’d like to forget. Anna brought a parasite back from D.R. and spent a few weeks giving Donny practice at being a nurse.
Josh & Kellie have just moved into a new home in Avon. They have a condo for sale if anyone is interested…:O) This house has nothing but potential and Kellie has a really good eye so we think their new place is going to be wonderful.
Jim, LiaAnn & Maddie have been through a tough time. Jim with surgery on his leg followed by a staff infection. LiaAnn with morning sickness. They seem to do these things together. Leg injuries and morning sickness go hand in hand for these two. Jim is finally able to get around with the assistance of a cane. And LiaAnn seems to be past the morning sickness. This would bring me to the good news. They are expecting our second grandchild in May – a boy. Which gives grandma a reason to buy new ‘boy looking’ stuff. :O)
The news with Pam’s mom is not so good. She fell in September and when the EMS got there she did not remember calling 9-1-1, she didn’t know how she got onto the floor, she didn’t know how long she had been on the floor but she couldn’t get up. So after much consultation Alice was moved to a senior assisted living facility in September. In October the Alzheimer’s had advanced to the point that she needed to be placed in the ‘memory care’ unit. Alzheimer’s is a mean disease. Please keep Alice and Pam in your prayers.
Pam & I are still at Harvest Bible Chapel North Indy and loving it. We have been married for 33 years and with that in mind we will be starting a Small Group in January specifically to study what the Bible has to say about marriage. We would appreciate your prayers. Please keep praying that we will keep cancer in our rearview mirror and God in front of us.
At times 2010 seemed to struggle hour by hour. And at other times it seemed to fly by in weeks or months at a time. But where ever you are right now make your times about Christ.
God is good all the time!!
Merry Christmas!!
Jim & Pam
