So I had gone to our family doctor, back in February, because my lower legs were swelling. We tried the normal drugs and nothing seemed to make a difference. Our family doctor and my Oncologist were both convinced that it could not be a clot. I did not have the symptoms for it to be a clot. But my doctor had me do an Echo-cardiogram and a Doppler Flow test anyway, this past Wednesday. The Echo came back normal, the Doppler not so much. They found two clots in my left leg. Deep Vein Thrombosis. DVTs. So the Imaging Center wouldn't let me go home. They sent me straight to the hospital. After the initial vitals and mini physical they started me on blood thinners. I was only in the hospital for one night but it always feels longer.
They sent me home with blood thinner shots to give myself and a blood thinner to take orally. I have two more shots and the pills will last somewhere between 3 and 6 months. (The shots are immediate and the pills take about 5 days to get into the system.) I also get to visit an Anti-Coagulation Clinic every couple of days to check the clotting factor in my blood.
So the medical adventures continue. But God is good all the time!!

1 John 1:7-10 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ESV
