Tuesday was my first 'after chemo' check-up. Well it wasn't really a check-up just a blood test. Several folks have asked if I've heard any news and the answer is 'no'. But I think in this case no news is good news. I don't expect to hear anything unless there is bad news. The next step is a P.E.T. CT scan on April 16th then see the Oncologist on April 20th with another blood test. We will discuss the scan and blood test at that time.
It's almost baseball season so I shouldn't have been surprised to be thrown a curve. My legs swelled up to about twice their normal size about three weeks ago. The doctor tells me that it could be a number of things including chemo leftovers. So I'm on a diuretic and an antibiotic for the next week to ten days. Ah, but this too shall pass -- hopefully.
