The bad news first. Yesterday the 'big ugly' reared its head again. So I have kicked up my anti-diarrhea prayers and meds.
Today was chemo day and it has really been knocking me for a loop the last few weeks. When I stand up it feels like I'm lifting twice my weight and I aint that strong yet. My brain feels like it is stuck in 2nd gear. Some of you probably think that's normal..... They gave me the H1N1 shot today. Now I've had the seasonal and the not so seasonal flu shot. I really don't want the flu, either kind, in the midst of this adventure.
Now the good news. All my numbers are outstanding!! Liver function, kidney function and all the blood work, except magnesium, look really really good. All the numbers for liver function are normal or better. All the numbers for kidney function are better than normal. And the numbers that they pull from the blood lab work are normal or better. Magnesium is the one number that is low but the drug that they continue to give me sucks away magnesium. So a low mag number is expected.
By the way, have you ever wondered where the phrase 'it is what it is' comes from?? Check out the verse below.
God is good all the time!!
