You ever wonder how fast a Mack truck could go on the autobahn. Up until this very moment neither had I but I have Chemo brain and feel like I've been hit by a Mack truck. It is always an interesting day when I go to get chemicals and today was no exception. My 3 hour appointment went for 6 hours as they chased my lab results with extra drugs to 'balance' things.
The doctor talked with us for probably 45 minutes and we were able to nail some things down and get some things straightened out. I will do the Chemo drug through August 21st and will do the other drug through January. The other drug is erbitux and it is a monoclonal antibody approved to treat this type of cancer. The after surgery pathology report indicates that these two drugs have been successful attacking my cancer.
This group is very aggressive at solving side effects and hopefully I won't have any more weeks like when I was 'worshipping the porcelain god'. They would like to get me to a point where I can function at a fairly normal level. That would be a good thing.
That would be the prayer request. That in the midst of taking Chemo, that I would get to a point of being able to function at something close to normal. We really appreciate all of your prayers and we believe that God is at work.
God is good all the time!!
