There is an old joke with a punchline something like, 'we opened the window and In Flew Enza'. Well the joke was on me Tuesday. I woke up with a flu bug like I haven't had in years. Starting about 3:00 a.m. it started flying out both ends -- -- at the same time. I had a temperature on Tuesday of 101.2 and on Wednesday of 102.2. I was one sick puppy and glad to see it fly somewhere else.
Last Friday I had seen our family doctor for the first 'after Chemo follow up blood test'. Well I got the results this Friday. The substance that they were looking at (and it gave the $64 name) in a normal person the range is .5 - 2.5 for none smokers. Mine was at .7. So BLESS GOD for a good report. The doctor's note also said that I was normal. I was shocked. I haven't been accused of being normal in a very long time.
Saturday I cooked (read smoked) by myself. That is the first time since cancer. It felt good, tired but good. Sixteen Boston butts, six briskets, 3 turkey legs and a shelf of bacon. Turkey bacon -- -- -- the real stuff aint on my diet. Well actually neither is the butts or brisket but they are going to someone else.............
God really is good all the time!!!!
