Last Friday I had the port-a-cath removed and, aside from a really nasty looking itchy rash by the wound, everything seems to be healing just fine. Some topical Benedryl knocked out the rash.
Tomorrow I see a Colorectal Surgeon because I continue to grow abscesses on my port side. Apparently this in not an unusual occurrence following colon surgery. It aint common but it aint unusual. So now we get to have some port side adventures.
We saw the nutritionist today and some of what she said seemed pretty extreme. 'Snake Oil' kind of extreme. It made us uncertain and tired. The Oncologist had been pretty extreme with his stats and when I quit his numbers changed. ugh! So we are trying to figure out who to trust. We don't really want to be extreme, we just want to do what is right. Will you pray with us for direction and how far to go in that direction. :O)
We really do appreciate all of your prayers!! We are trying to walk out our lives with a vertical perspective and we need your prayers to be successful.
Regardless of who we are, where we are or what we've stepped in -- --
God is good all the time!!!

1 Samuel 12:23-24 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way . Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you. ESV
