Holding things together.

It is humbling the number of people who ask, "how are you doing?? We have been reading your blog and you haven't updated it lately". To all of you, THANK YOU for your prayers and concern. My standard response is 'just peachy'. That is probably not a fair reply because I continue to have issues but they aren't things that you blog about in public. :O) But, as I blogged before, I was continuing to produce abscesses. The ColoRectal Surgeon put in a 'seton'. If you don't know what a rectal seton is you could Google it but it aint pleasant. The seton will allow the fistula to drain. After a month or two the surgeon will remove the seton and repair the fistula. That will, hopefully, be that last surgery for a long long time. The seton is a nuisance because the area has to be kept clean and that area is not generally thought of as 'clean'. It is uncomfortable, from time to time, but for the most part it's just a nuisance.

Other than that I am still dealing with some tingling, occasionally, in my hands and feet. I'm not surprised. The drug that they gave me that would cause this sensation is very powerful and it will take time to get it out of my system. In an effort to rid my system of those drugs (and get my system back to healthy) I am taking a fairly powerful combination of vitamins and supplements.

Last Saturday we (JD's Barbecue Shoppe) bottled 1,044 jars of sauce. That is always an exhausting experience that takes a couple of days to recover. We are now offering 4 sauces, The Original, The Original Kicked Up a Notch, the Perfect Sweet and a Mustard sauce.

This Saturday we went to a wedding reception of the pastor that married Pam & I 31 years ago. It was good to see Steve, his new bride and several old friends. I am the only man I know of who was married as both a wife and a husband. If you don't know the story you'll just have to ask........

This Sunday, Harvest Bible Chapel North Indy moves to Fishers Junior High School. Carmel High School was a good place to start and Fishers JHS should be a good place to continue. Hopefully next year we will find a permanent facility. Services still start at 10:00 a.m. Come visit -- -- -- http://www.harvestnorthindy.org/.

So as you can see there are many things going on but God is holding all things together.

Colossians 1:16 - 17 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. ESV
