Climbing the first hill, again...

Yogi Berra is credited (or blamed) with saying, "It's like deja' vu all over again." It feels a little bit like that as I sit here listening to Louis Armstrong singing. (Was there ever a more unmistakable voice?) Anyway, we have been here before. Sitting in the third car back, looking toward the sky, hearing the 'clack clack clack clack' as the roller coaster ascends the first hill. I've always liked roller coasters especially on the first ride. You don't know what to expect after the first hill.
(Louis and Bing Crosby just sang Gone Fishin'. Cute tune.)
So here we are climbing that first hill, again. Chemo starts tomorrow. Yesterday we had the 'this is what to expect' talk and the tour of the facility. The details of the ride still need to be finalized but in general it will be 4 weeks of chemo followed by liver surgery followed by six months of chemo. Tomorrow's chemo will be a 5 - 6 hour infusion, next Friday 3 hours, next next Friday 5 hours, next next next Friday 3 hours....there seems to be a pattern. Somewhere after that will be another P.E.T. CT scan and if the chemo did its thing the surgery would follow.
(Wow. Louis is soooo good on the trumpet. Did you know that I played trumpet in Junior High? Uh, I sounded nothing like Sachmo. :o)

Please keep praying.
God is good all the time!!
