An Anxious Trust

Some of you have been there....... You get a lab report from a blood test, from a CT scan or from an x-ray and it causes you to be anxious. What does it mean?? What am I going to have to go through?? What will tomorrow bring?? Questions you can usually answer after the fact but definitely not before.
Christians are called to trust God. Isaiah 26:44 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. ESV This is just one verse that encourages us to trust God and there are well over one hundred more scripture verses with similar urgings to trust.
So if we are being anxious are we not trusting God?? In a word --- YES.
If we truly believe that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He has promised then He has everything under control and we need not worry.
I believe that with my head and my heart but walking it out is a whole different ballgame. It is a growing process.

Here's to trusting wholeheartedly........

God is good all the time.

Proverbs 3:5-10 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him,and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine. ESV
