Well, once again I became the victim of not "knowing". Since Jim has been home I have found it increasingly difficult to keep track of what day it is...every day is like the weekend, or vacation (if you don't look at the bottles of meds or bandages) And I do love having him home! Yesterday was small group meeting and I missed it! I hate that...I was sure it was the next week. There are so many things in this adventure of chemo and cancer that we don't know. Not knowing always messes me up. It focuses all my attention on the whatifs or the howcans or the whodoes, and I miss the" holy right now". I'm reading a book called The Promise based on Romans 8:28. It's author suggested looking at what we do know as followers of Christ. What I found is amazing. I may still miss some appointments... sorry-I'll try not to. But I will not miss the holy right now- the living in the Presence of God ,who is good.
Here is what I KNOW;
I know that you can do all things and no purpose of yours can be thwarted. Job 42:2
I know that the Lord saves his anointed: He will answer from his holy heaven with the saving might of His right hand. Psalm 20:6
This I know, that God is for me. Psalm 56:9
I know, oh Lord that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. Psalm 119:75
I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Psalm 135:5
I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted and will execute justice for the needy. Psalm 140:12
But the Lord helps me...and I know I will not be put to shame. Isaiah 50:7
I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me. 2Timothy 1:12
I pray you know Him too, in the holy right now, Pam

It's such an encouragement to read your blog...almost like a daily devotional :0) Thanks for all of the wise words and insights.
I've been hearing that country song on the radio - God is good, all the time...more than I usually do. It's been a good reminder to pray for you at that moment.
We'd love to stop by and visit some time!
