Today is a slow day, Jim is waiting, restlessly to regain energy. The skies are so gray and naps seem to be the activity that is called for. While looking at the clouds I had to reflect on God's teaching to me through the last few years...storm survival. It seemed everything I read was about preparing and weathering the storms of life. My bookshelf is filled with titles that reflect that; When it Pours He Reigns, The Wind That Destroys and Heals, Second Choice, Your God Is Too Safe, Why, Just Enough Light For The Step I'm On... I am so thankful that while I could not possibly see or imagine what was coming our way, God Knew and prepared us. I wouldn't think of living in Indiana during the springtime, with all the typical storms, without watching the skies and paying attention to the weather channel. It would be foolish to pretend that Storms never come. I pray that all of you are preparing for storm season too. Both the Spring type storms and the life altering ones that come sooner or later to us all. When the sky turns green, go the basement. When life gets ugly, call upon the name of the Lord...and please don't wait until the doctor tells you to count backwards from 100.
Love You, Pam
PS We hung new "word art" yesterday, it says "Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."

I am praying for you guys and just love what you posted today. Thanks for remaining such a great example of Christ focused living over the years (since YDW #2)...what a blessing to have known you this long. I will keep posted and know our family is praying for you guys!! With lots of love, Shannon
I really enjoyed your entry. I think it's interesting that the Bible doesn't say "if" the storms will come; it has always been a matter of "when". I know you've built your house on the foundation of the Rock and will stand firm. We are still praying.
When dancing in the rain, don't forget to do a little singing. It's all good for the soul!
Jim & Pam,
As I sit down to reply to your blog, I'm speachles. Storms, sometimes there is no warnings, no alarm, sometimes they just pop up on the radar. All we can do is trust that God will be there to protect us and guide us through the storm until we see the blue sky. Connie and I will be praying for both of you durning this storm. We're all in this together. We love you.
